Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking a passionate and experienced AI Flight Simulation Software Engineer to join our innovative team developing cutting-edge flight simulation software. As an AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to create realistic and challenging simulated flight experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of AI-powered features within our flight simulation software, focusing on areas such as:
  • Realistic flight dynamics and aircraft systems modeling
  • AI-controlled virtual pilots and air traffic control
  • Dynamic and adaptive mission scenarios
  • Advanced environmental and weather simulations
• Research and stay current on the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, particularly as they pertain to flight simulation and aerospace applications.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to AI algorithms, models, and implementations.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, game designers, and other team members to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into the simulation environment.
• Analyze and optimize AI models and algorithms for performance, accuracy, and scalability.
• Contribute to the design and execution of testing and validation procedures for AI-driven features.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in AI development and deployment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) developing and implementing AI solutions in a professional setting, ideally within the gaming or simulation industry.
• Strong understanding of various AI techniques, including machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning), deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs), and optimization algorithms.
• Experience with flight simulation software or aerospace engineering principles is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI development (e.g., Python, C++, Java) and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying AI models at scale.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in relevant academic conferences or journals

Security Clearance Level Required: Must have an active secret clearence and the ability to obtain a TS with SCI and SAP eligibility.
