We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Tools and Technology (T&T) Manager. The Quality T&T Manager reports directly to the Quality Analytics and Tools management team, manages the Quality T&T team, and works closely with the RTX Quality team as the Quality T&T subject matter expert (SME) on the team. The successful candidate will provide the top-level strategy for the team, work with the larger T&T community to align T&T across Raytheon & RTX, report out regularly on the team results to stakeholder, and advance the automation of tasks for the Quality Organization.

This exciting role has exposure to quality, operations, supply chain, information technology and engineering professionals at all levels.

The effective candidate can reside in one of the following locations.

  • Tucson, AZ (preferred)
  • McKinney, TX
  • Andover, MA

This is an onsite role

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as a key member of the section Leadership Team and provide direction to the Quality Tools and Technology team, ensuring successful results through effective collaboration and alignment to business goals.
  • Oversee major projects and evaluation of multiple processes, tools, and sources of data to identify opportunities to automate tasks, develop return on investment reports, flag systemic issues, mitigate areas of risk, consolidation opportunities and implement new and improved solutions.
  • Guide technology and tool integrations collaboratively with various functions, businesses, customers, industry, and suppliers to ensure alignment of digital solutions.
  • Manage by understanding business processes and their implications and applying process improvement concepts for process redesign.
  • Drive consolidation of tools and technology that result in integrated solutions through effective collaboration, oversight and innovation.
  • Manage activities to ensure the efficient implementation of new tools, and technologies.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities that contribute to significant business results and ROI.

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience in the following areas;
    • Ten (10) years relevant experience in Quality, Project Management, Digital Technology, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or Sciences
    • Experience defining a strategic roadmap, project planning and guiding large-scale projects.
    • Experience as an Agile SCRUM Master and Product Owner to drive business-wide results using scaled-agile processes.
    • Experience in development/usage of Quality metrics and identification/institution of intuitive tools/data visualization
    • Familiarity with languages commonly used for data evaluation such as Python, R, and/or SQL.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Over ten (10) years relevant experience in Quality/Digital Technology/Operations/Engineering/Supply Chain environments
  • Experience defining long range strategies and accountable for innovative solutions to meet the goals
  • Program Manager experience on projects inception to completion
  • Experience in supporting design, manufacturing and digital technology processes
  • Experience creating presentations for executive management.
  • Experience explaining technical information in a clear and simple manner for nontechnical, technical, and stakeholders in the Business and across RTX globally
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in failure, root cause, corrective, preventive actions and risk/opportunity management and implement robust process controls
  • Experience in development/usage of Quality key process initiatives (KPIs)/metrics/predictive analysis and the identification/institution of perceptive verifications and data enabled outcomes
  • Experience with Lean principles, Industry 4.0, Quality 4.0, APQP, CORE, SaaS, Agile, Scrum, virtual inspections, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), risk management, data and various evaluation platforms, database programming languages, data visualization, data governance, tool governance, tool training, tool communications, root cause corrective action tools, ERP systems, various business systems, and cloud computing environments.
  • Experience anticipating problems, collecting and evaluating information from several sources, identifying key issues, recognizing the implications and likely interactions across multiple stakeholders, making, and meeting commitments and working to maximize the outcomes across these stakeholders, with qualitative and/or quantitative business results.
  • Experience with improvement methodologies and tools such as CORE, Agile, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Experience developing business cases with sound return on investment (ROI) data
  • Demonstrated experience as a change agent, able to energize and influence across all levels.
  • Experience using report automation tools (Power BI, Tableau, MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated innovation in developing solutions including strategy, requirements, design, implementation, communication of new processes or tools.
  • Experience in development of metrics, user guides, roadmaps, and concise reports.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
