Team Overview
Our team is responsible for the remediation of critical production incidents, as well as driving efforts to implement scalable stability solutions across BlackRock and our Aladdin clients. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative, and inclusive Incident Manager Lead who can bring their diverse perspective and problem-solving mentality to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Who we are looking for:
An Incident and Problem Manager to join the Service Management team. A person who has a passion for technical troubleshooting and can direct a team through multiple simultaneous incidents. This role involves identifying trends and being a problem solver with a proficiency in quickly learning new technologies and proprietary systems.
A successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of incidents through leading, driving, facilitating, and chairing all incidents including investigation activities, meetings, and conference calls Someone who can form collaborative action plans with specific actions, roles, and deadlines, and ensuring these are completed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support Incident Management in coordinating resolution and restore normal service operation during technology Incidents and Major Incidents.
- Drive communication with senior management both during and after incidents, providing timely updates and detailed post-incident reports.
- Continuous improvement of ServiceNow (SNOW) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and provide coverage on Weekends as required during usual working hours.
- Support planning, coordination and execution of Disaster Recovery testing for client environments. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and operators to ensure upkeep of recovery plans. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and procedures
- Build relationships with global IT teams and understand various applications and technologies.
- Enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of Disaster Recovery plans and procedures.
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A prospective candidate should ideally have and exhibit the following qualities:
- 8+ years’ experience in the role of Incident Manager/Dev Ops or a similar role including prior management experience.
- Is familiar with industry standard Incident and Problem Management practices.
- An understanding of running services on Cloud infrastructure solutions
- Experience in application monitoring solutions
- Leverage data driven analytics tools.
- Understanding of operating within an ITIL framework
- Previous experience working in the Financial Services or Technology industry.
- Scripting or basic development language skills to automate common tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Self-advised, effective at prioritization and takes full ownership of responsibilities and is a diligent teammate.
- Adaptive individual, able to multi-task and adjust in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with any of the Incident Management tools like ServiceNow, Remedy etc.
- Basic experience in Artificial Intelligence, deep learning, and other relevant fields.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS, etc. and understanding of different service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Knowledge in programming languages such as Python to automate common tasks and a basic knowledge of IT Configuration Management, Deployment & Orchestration tools like Ansible
