Environmental Mitigation and Reporting Data Management Specialist – High Speed Rail

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a to Senior to Mid-Level Environmental Mitigation Data Analytical Specialist to join the High-Speed Rail Arcadis project construction management team in Selma, CA to provide oversight support data entry and analysis, compliance requirements data review, and record files management support to the environmental oversight team managing the design-builder contract.

Must be able to work part-time onsite in Selma, CA.

Role Accountabilities:

• Enter, organize and review data on the clients environmental mitigation database, a web-based application.
• Review historic data entry to evaluate quality.
• Assist with file management and document storage.
• Data tabulation/analysis.
• Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and instant messaging.
• Support team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
• Provide information by answering questions and requests.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of database management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, or a related field such as biology, ecology, natural resources management, sustainability, etc.
• Experience with Environmental Regulatory Compliance (State and Federal), Master Streambed Alteration Agreement, Clean Water Act (Sec. 401, 402, 404), Incidental Take Permit (CESA/FESA)
• Knowledge of appropriate software including, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Database management organization demonstrated
• Environmental Compliance Mitigation proficiency 
• Experience using the California High-Speed Rail Environmental Mitigation Management Application (EMMA)
• Proficiency with California Environmental Quality Act/ National Environmental Policy Act (CEQA/NEPA), Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA), California Endangered Species Act (CA ESA), Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MTBA), Master Streambed Alteration Agreement (MSAA), Clean Water Act Section 401 Certification, Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit, Construction General Permit (CGP), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and hazardous materials regulations.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
