We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data quality frameworks, deep diving into data warehouse and data quality intersections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust data quality frameworks and strategies.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure high-quality datasets.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define and enforce data quality standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to prevent data inconsistencies.
- Lead initiatives to improve data lineage, metadata management, and anomaly detection.
- Work with experienced data professionals to drive continuous improvements in data quality processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for data quality issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management and data engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data quality engineering, data governance, or data management.
- Strong Data Platform Engineering hard skills, including expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Airflow, Python, Spark, Shell, Linux, and SQL (Golang and Rust are nice-to-have).
- Strong Data Quality practical skills, with knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK standards and Data Contracts.
- Proficiency in data quality tools such as Great Expectations, dbt, or Informatica Data Quality.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data processing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).
- Mature personality and excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data issues.
