You will be joining a skilled team focused on data engineering, finance, and data science, playing a crucial role in translating between accounting principles and data engineering needs.

In this role, you will work with SQL, Snowflake, and DBT to create, refine, and maintain curated data views for downstream users. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and updating these views to ensure accurate financial accounting and economic reporting, including cash flow modeling for waterfall structures and internal return calculations.

Beyond core data transformation tasks, you will collaborate with stakeholders to interpret financial data and optimize reporting structures

Job Description

• Data Transformation: Develop and maintain data transformation processes using SQL, Snowflake, and DBT to ensure accurate and efficient data workflows.

• Financial Data Management: Interpret and manage financial accounting data, including cash flow analyses for waterfall models and internal rate of return calculations, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.

• Curated Views: Design, troubleshoot, and update curated data views for downstream users, ensuring data is accessible and meets business requirements.

• Dashboard Development: Potentially assist in building dashboards using Sigma Computing to visualize financial data, leveraging existing SQL and Snowflake skills (not a prerequisite).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

•  Proven experience with SQL, Snowflake, Python and DBT is essential. Familiarity with AWS is a plus.

•  Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and economic reporting, particularly in cash flow analysis and internal return metrics.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and transparent feedback. Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently and proactively addressing issues.

• Excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication is a must!  

How much experience must I have?

We're looking for someone with 5 years of experience in data.
