Position: Java Developer - Working Student
Duration: 12 months (possibility to prolong for the next 12 months)
Location: Bydgoszcz, Poland
Education Recommendations: Active student status
Application and Platform Development organization designs, implements and tests multiple applications to automate Services work, helps external customers in daily network maintenance, simplifies and automate internal processes. We create cloud native, high performance, scalable, modern solutions. We use Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
As part of our team, you will participate in small development project in one or more roles (based on the project needs) / tasks covering different phases of development lifecycle.

You will:
- Collaborate with other project stakeholders and participants
- Understand and analyse requirements for the project or given tasks
- Design and plan implementation and verification
- Implement (code) needed functionality including unit tests
- Create pipelines for building and testing the project
- Verify that requirements are met
- Develop & maintain test environment
- Create automated test scripts
- Troubleshoot problems & manage defects
- Create and maintain project/ product and test documentation
- Present your project
You should have:
- Min. 1-2 years of academic background in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Software Technology, Engineering or equivalent
- Programming skills in one of the following: Python, Java or any object-oriented programming languages
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix OS (command line)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to understand and work with English documentation
It would be nice if you also had knowledge or experience about:
- Cloud and microservices: Docker, K8s, PaaS, SaaS
- Open Interfaces: creating and consuming APIs using RESTful computing principles
- Web programming skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, WebSocket, REST
- JIRA / Confluence/ Git/ Gerrit / Jenkins
- Agile, Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD)
