Please review the following job description:

Responsible for providing analytical, business management, and project support on execution of Wholesale Data Analytics and Governance team projects including but not limited to supporting key group initiatives with project management activities, performance reporting, analytics and insights. Drives strategy around efficient operation of the overall team including intake, prioritization, and delivery of analytics and reporting. Applies a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data processes/flows and concepts to implement frameworks, processes, controls, and solutions to ensure data is effectively managed across the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Focus on business management of the Wholesale Data Analytics and Governance team, including implementing process and procedures for the team around intake of data and analytics requests, prioritization of work and capacity planning.

2. Provides project management for larger, cross-team initiatives, including identifying key responsibilities and ownership, tracking progress, and providing updates to senior leadership and business partners.

3. Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. 

3. Applies a comprehensive understanding of how the organization operates to solve technical, operational, and business problems. 

4. Creates and maintains strategy documents and roadmaps for the larger team, including compiling information for socialization to senior leadership and business partners on a regular basis.

5. Works with the entire data team to capture and store standard data definitions, templates for reports and dashboards, documentation for BAU processes, and inventory.

6. Enhances and maintains central repository for internal data team information as well as central landing page for business partners to retrieve reporting and dashboards created by the data team.

7. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. 

8. Impacts the achievement of client, operational, project, service, and risk management objectives. 

9. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

2. Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge within a professional discipline. 

3. Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes. 

4. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services. 

5. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure. 

6. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities. 

7. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems. 

8. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective (new automation, new metrics, new tools etc.)   Focus on process automation to improve efficiency. 

9. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's degree or MBA

2. 10 years of related experience

3. Previous experience in Financial Services or Banking industry

4. Experience with Data analysis and sound SQL skills

5. Understanding of Wholesale business banking products

6. Risk management experience focused on data risk and data management

7. Exposure to Data warehousing

8. Data Analytics/Business Intelligence/Reporting tool exposure

9. Business management tool experience (e.g. Sharepoint, Workfront, etc.)
