Burlington is hiring a Real Estate Strategy Analyst (Data Science) on the Market Planning team, playing a critical role in driving the growth and success of our organization through data-driven decision-making. This position is responsible for assessing the sales potential of new store and relocations opportunities, while analyzing the performance of our existing real estate portfolio. By leveraging predictive models, geographic information systems (GIS), and data analysis tools, the Real Estate Analyst will forecast potential sales, identify market trends, and support strategic planning initiatives.
A Day in the Life:
- Evaluate the performance of existing Burlington stores, identifying key drivers of success or underperformance.
- Design, develop, and maintain predictive sales forecasting models to evaluate potential revenue at new store locations.
- Research, collect, and interpret large data sets and prepare complex analysis to help make strategic business decisions.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to identify risks and opportunities related to new store investments.
- Develop reporting and presentations for management that highlight trends, insights, and actionable recommendations to optimize store operations.
- Ensure data integrity and provide ad hoc analysis for various departments as needed.
You Will Come With:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, GIS, or a related technical field.
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical modeling and forecasting.
- Proficiency in R programming and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other data visualization tools.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
