Data Science Intern- Summer Internship

HealthEdge is dedicated to driving digital transformation in healthcare through transaction automation and real-time business and clinical engagement among healthcare payers, providers, and patients. We are excited to offer our summer internship program for the 7th year! 

Internship Program: HealthEdge offers a paid 12-week virtual internship program that allows students to work on meaningful projects, learn about working in a SaaS company, and have fun along the way! Interns will be aligned to a specific team but will also get exposure to various departments and strategic initiatives through our HealthEdge 101 weekly series. Additionally, we provide special events such as Executive Roundtables, Fireside Chats with our CEO, and workshops focused on resume writing, presentations, interview preparation, and more. 

Responsibilities: 

• Create and maintain data pipelines 

• Test and validate data with functional datasets 

• Liaise with customers to gather feedback and fine-tune data systems 

• Model data based on business needs and requirements 

• Performance tune data systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy 

Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 

• Knowledgeable about databases, SQL, and Python 

• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills 

• Passionate about learning new technologies and growing professionally 

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills 

Preferred Skills (Not Required): 

• Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data modeling, Spark, and data warehousing
