The Director of Cloud, Infrastructure and Network is responsible for managing the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture Services group, reporting directly to the Vice President of Information Technology. This key leadership position aims to ensure the organization maintains a reliable computing environment, targeting an impressive system uptime. The director will collaborate closely with stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams to implement and enhance quality processes, controls, and comprehensive system support.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate strong business acumen paired with extensive technical expertise. A deep understanding of various servers, storage, and network platforms is imperative, as well as familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends. This position requires a forward-thinking approach to navigate the complexities of the current IT landscape and to anticipate future needs, ultimately contributing to the organization's strategic objectives and competitive advantage.


Responsibilities
• Define and execute the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of the IC&O organization, ensuring
alignment with business and IT enterprise initiatives to maximize success.
• Lead the introduction of cutting-edge infrastructure, cloud, and operations capabilities that
differentiate our organization and promote employee productivity.
• Foster strong relationships with key IT and business stakeholders by understanding their needs,
serving as a trusted advisor, and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of IT services.
• Collaborate with the senior IT leadership team to develop a governance framework for the service
portfolio, prioritizing resources effectively, including budget considerations.
• Work with stakeholders to assess and prioritize the remediation of technical debt, ensuring that our
IT landscape remains robust and agile.
• Align IC&O strategies with targeted business outcomes and future-state capabilities, creating a
comprehensive IC&O value map.
• Drive alignment of IC&O strategies with the organization's environmental, social, and governance
(ESG) objectives.
• Develop and manage the annual IC&O budget, ensuring consistency with the organization's strategic
goals and fostering a culture of continuous cost optimization.
• Define and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive IT Service Management (ITSM)
framework, grounded in industry best practices and supporting tools.
• Partner with the senior leadership to integrate security strategies into the IC&O operations, ensuring
compliance and risk management.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer
Engineering, Software Engineering, Network Administration a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience in voice and data networking, systems operations, data centers, servers,
storage, client computing (MS and G-suite), and production control groups.
• 10+ years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, and staffing.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a vision for business unit
that inspires and motivates staff while aligning with IT and business strategies.
• Strong influence and negotiation skills in complex environments where resources necessary for
success may not be directly controlled by this role.
• Experience in promoting and implementing transformational initiatives aimed at adopting agile
methodologies, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and large-scale cloud adoption.
• The ability to consolidate operational capabilities within large, complex enterprise organizations to
enhance efficiency while balancing customer preferences for agility.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
• Proficient in building consensus, making decisions based on multiple variables, and securing support
for major initiatives.
• Self-starter who regularly assesses and seeks feedback from others to enhance personal performance.
• Experience in developing strategies that leverage fusion teams composed of business technologists.
• Strong business acumen and domain-specific knowledge of the healthcare industry, including an
understanding of the enterprise and its business units.
• Commitment to delivering excellence in hybrid working environments to improve both customer and
user experiences.
• Skilled in staff development, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Maximization of the effectiveness of nearshore and offshore resource models.
• Expertise in building cloud management solutions encompassing software development, integration,
and ongoing engineering.
• Development of self-service mechanisms to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to tackle large data challenges and enhance customer experience.
• In-depth understanding of current and emerging IC&O technologies and practices, as well as how other enterprises are applying them.
• Application of IC&O capabilities to fulfill regulatory or statutory compliance requirements.
• Establishment and improvement of operations and other working practices, such as ITIL.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic staffing plan that ensures the right individuals are in the appropriate roles at the right time, resulting in high employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Leadership in large-scale cloud adoption, including the establishment of governance mechanisms,
delivery of migration projects, and adjustments to the IC&O target operating model.
• Development of governance practices to monitor and measure service quality while maintaining
service improvement plans.
• Effective third-party management, collaborating closely with sourcing and vendor managers.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.


Physical Demands
• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force
frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion.
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close
visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing;
viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed
50 lbs. without help.
