Pay Range

USD $13.00 - USD $15.00 /Yr.

Work Schedule Description (e.g. M-F 8am to 5pm)

Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? 

  • Mine, organize, and analyze large data sets to improve business decision-making, process efficiency, and strategic initiatives
  • Assess new data sources and techniques to ensure data accuracy and drive continuous improvement in data gathering processes
  • Develop and refine predictive models and algorithms to optimize customer experiences, enhance revenue generation
  • Utilize machine learning techniques to improve data quality, forecast future business outcomes, and drive continuous improvement across functional areas
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement data models and track performance, ensuring successful integration and monitoring of outcomes
  • Create tools and processes to consistently evaluate model performance and maintain high levels of data accuracy and integrity
  • Develop advanced data visualizations, including charts, graphs, and dashboards, to clearly communicate trends and business forecasts to stakeholders
  • Present data-driven recommendations to business leaders, translating complex data insights into actionable strategies for growth and optimization
  • Develop FAQs and reference pages for business users to access
  • Ensure documentation and applications comply with Navitus style guides and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on documentation projects
  • Recognize, suggest, and assist with process improvements
  • Display critical thinking and problem-solving competencies
  • Assist with special projects
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • Has Bachelor of Science and working towards an advanced degree in Applied Statistics and Predictive Analytics
  • Proficient in writing efficient queries using SQL and familiar with noSQL databases for handling large datasets.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, PySpark) for manipulating and analyzing large data sets to derive actionable insights.
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision trees, neural networks) and their practical benefits and limitations in real-world applications.
  • Versed in advanced statistical methods (e.g., regression analysis, distribution properties, statistical tests) and experience applying them to solve business problems.
  • Experience in statistical and data mining techniques, such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, and social network analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models, including regression, simulations, scenario analysis, clustering, and neural networks.
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year college for the upcoming school year
  • Must have at least 1 year of coursework completed
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
  • The intern role is considered a learning opportunity and as such, no specific experience is required. Preference may be given to candidates with work experience or education paths determined desirable by the department each intern supports
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
