Overview

Property Insight is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to ensure accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis. Our business requires complete and accurate data sets to support title examination and this position will be integral in improving our data assets and implementing processes to onboard new data assets with quality.

Duties

• Review, analyze and make recommendations to convert various external data sources for ingestion into a standardized schema.• Manage the ingestion of current updates to the data from the external sources including updates to formats received and improvements to the ingestion processing. • Develop, support and maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics supporting key business decisions.• Design and build technical processes to address business issues.• Design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.• Optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.• Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing and product teams.• Manage and improves existing reporting systems.• Analyzes problems and determines root causes.• Defines company data assets (data models), spark, sparkSQL, and hiveSQL jobs to populate data models.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, computer science, management information systems or related field or equivalent related experience

Experience

• 1-3 years data analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software or equivalent related education.

• Strong attention to detail• Experience working with and creating databases, reports and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.• Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company objectives• Problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.• Ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.• Communication, collaboration and delegation skills.• Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.• SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries

 

Preferred but not required:

• Title Plant and title industry knowledge• Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.• Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.• Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques: GLM multiple regression, logistic regression, log-linear regression, variable selection, etc.• Experience writing advanced SAS code statements, models, and macros.
