Highly experienced and skilled individual contributor Analytics Analyst, Senior who will improve the quality of the end-to-end customer journey and bridge team silos. As part of the Budget, Finance and Accounting team, your role will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making, connecting data across, and enhancing the experience of our customers. This individual will advance analytics using their deep expertise in supporting strategic business initiatives through detailed data analysis, experimentation, statistical modeling, forecasting, and development of reporting tools and metrics. As the Analytics Analyst, Senior, you will be responsible for leveraging data insights and advanced analytics techniques to define, forecast, and evaluate key metrics in an unstructured problem space and partnering with other data experts to understand impact and interaction of various key metrics. The ability to communicate a robust understanding of the key drivers - what moves these metrics and why - will be critical to success. This role will also be presenting to and influencing leaders at the highest level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.

Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, forecasting and the presentation of data to identify trends and patterns that can inform decision-making.

Collaborate closely with analysts in Finance, Customer Services and Operations and other cross-functional teams to support actionable insights.

Develop and implement advanced forecasting models to not only predict key performance metrics but also understand the metric’s actual performance.

Design and build metrics / dimensions to monitor product and business performance.

Build sophisticated reporting and analytical tools that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.

Create real-time data visualizations and dashboards and use statistical techniques to understand data.

Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership, in a clear and concise manner.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Below are the required education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A quantitative undergraduate degree with a strong preference for candidates holding an advanced degree in computer science, social science, math, statistics, etc., with 5+ years of industry experience in Data Science, Analytics, IT, Accounting, related field/ or equivalent role.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modeling.

Experience working with large datasets and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Be well-versed in database tools and data warehouse solutions.

Self-starter thrives in ambiguity and has an investigator mindset of wanting to get to the bottom of problems.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions.

Robust business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Depending on area of assignment:

Working knowledge of computers and relevant software and ability to apply knowledge in performing computations and analyses.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to collate, analyze, and creatively interpret data and trends in order to make recommendations for products and services.

Ability to make effective presentations in group or individual settings.

Thorough knowledge of organization structure, functions, internal relationships, and interactions with other levels of organization.

Ability to research, analyze and reconcile data.

Ability to use advanced tools such as Power BI, Excel, Python, R, Tableau, etc.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess certain physical abilities and be able to withstand work related environmental conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

May be required to attend meetings outside of regular business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Requires local travel to other GRU locations and across the surrounding Gainesville area.

Required to respond to emergency situations in varying climatic conditions.

This position may include a hybrid work schedule, once probation is completed and agreed to with your manager.
