Position Title: Data Visualization Lead
General Position Description:
The Data Visualization Lead is responsible for transforming complex datasets into clear, engaging, and actionable visual insights. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, designing effective dashboards, and ensuring best practices in data storytelling, UI/UX, and business intelligence (BI) tools. The ideal candidate has expertise in visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js), data analysis, and a strong understanding of user experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data visualization or business intelligence.
Certifications in Tableau, Power BI, or related BI tools are a plus.
Must be flexible to work in shifts and/or on a rotational basis

Technical Skills:
BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, D3.js, Google Looker Studio, Figma and similar mock-up tools
Programming: SQL, Python
Data Processing: ETL, data cleaning, transformation.
Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake.
Web Technologies (Optional): JavaScript, HTML, CSS (for custom visualization development).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
Ability to collaborate across teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and ability to handle complex datasets.
Project management and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Data Visualization & Dashboard Development
Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI or custom web-based solutions.
Ensure visualizations are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with business goals.
Optimize performance and usability of dashboards for different audiences.
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Work with raw data to clean, process, and transform it into meaningful insights.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define key metrics and ensure data accuracy.
Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data to support business decisions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Gather requirements from business users, executives, and technical teams to design effective visualizations.
Present insights in an engaging manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Train and support end-users in using BI tools effectively.
UI/UX & Data Storytelling
Apply principles of UI/UX to ensure dashboards are user-friendly and visually appealing.
Use data storytelling techniques to enhance the impact of reports and presentations.
Ensure consistency in design across reports and dashboards.
Technical Leadership & Best Practices
Define and enforce best practices for data visualization, design consistency, and accessibility.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BI tools and techniques.
Provide mentorship and guidance to peers and create effective backup
Integration & Automation
Work with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of visualization tools with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, etc).
Automate reporting processes to reduce manual effort and enhance efficiency.
Eligibility
24 months as a consultant or team lead or in a similar P2 level job profile
