Global Compensation Market Data Lead

This role as Compensation Sr Lead Analyst requires a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in global compensation and adapts them for application within own job and the firm. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level with global stakeholders. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and frequently with external vendors. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding our market data strategy and process. Will supervise junior talent and be responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Compensation Market Data Strategy and Process including Strategic Program Management, Benchmarking Strategy, Vendor Management, Survey Selection, Matching Process, and Global Reporting

  • Act as a subject matter expert on global compensation market data and methodologies

  • Support the development and maintenance of global salary structures, job leveling frameworks, and compensation guidelines.

  • Develop dashboards and reports to track market competitiveness

  • Drive Market Data technology strategy including compensation tools and HR systems to manage and analyze market data

  • Analyze salary data trends and provide insights to inform pay structures, salary ranges, and incentive plans

  • Identify opportunities to improve compensation data processes, automation, and efficiency

  • Manages multiple projects across multiple work streams

  • Provides ongoing training to compensation and HR teams including education on market trends, pay positioning, and compensation best practices

  • Provides consultation and respond to inquiries from Compensation, HR and business managers on compensation, recognition-related issues and process improvements

  • Works closely with subject matter experts to develop and modify compensation strategy, policy and approach for Global Citi

  • Liaises with global, senior HR officials to ensure data quality, integrity and consistency during compensation analysis and program management

  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Proven track record of ability to build global relations remotely across a multicultural / geographical team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel

  • Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple priorities.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
