As part of our investment plan, we are seeking an exceptional information professional to work within the B2B Product team. Dow Jones Customer Solutions Engineers are responsible for working directly with customers as well as partners leveraging our data product suite. This includes providing support to both technical and business users, understanding their needs in order to support integration of our products.
Responsibilities
Understand our customers' technical and business requirements and design a technical solution using Dow Jones data and services to achieve these
Work closely with our Sales Specialists, providing technical pre-sales support and implementation guidance to our customers
Develop a strong relationship with our customers’ engineering team or third party integrator and address any technical and product questions during the sales cycle.
Advise and guide prospective customers during their integration of Dow Jones data and services including building and managing proof of concepts
Share best practices, model designs etc. with prospects and customers for both technical development and in support of customer’s internal approvals processes
Provide feedback to Dow Jones Product and Technology teams on emerging requirements, themes and customer technology trends
Contribute to the team’s portfolio of best practices and processes.
Be aware of emerging technologies and techniques beneficial to the role and team
Skills & Experience
Required:
5+ years of experience of working on solutions architectures for customer
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery
Working knowledge of SQL, Python and NodeJS languages.
Prior experience in a customer-facing engineering role
Strong communication skills for working with both business and technical customers
Experience in building and leading technical product demonstrations that include APIs
Experience in responding to functional and technical questions
Business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills to assist with customer requirements
Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
Highly Desired:
Experience working with Cloud services for data ingestion, processing and storage.
Understanding of Machine Learning techniques, specifically, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining.
Coding skills in any modern programming language.
Familiarity with XML and Restful APIs
Experience and familiarity with our data products including Factiva, Newswires, Risk & Compliance
Language proficiency in Korean is preferred
