THE ROLE:

THE PERSON:  

We are seeking an Junior Business Program Analyst to join the AMD AI Framework team. You will work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, supporting AI and machine learning initiatives by optimizing AI frameworks and ensuring seamless integration of models across AMD’s ecosystem (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Triton, MIGraphX, etc.). This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, improve business processes, and support high-performance AI projects using AMD’s powerful GPUs.  

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the AI Software Development Framework team with various business analysis tasks.   

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Business Requirements & Documentation: Gather and document detailed business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for development teams.  
  • Process Documentation & Optimization: Analyze and optimize business processes to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure alignment with project goals.  
  • Project & Program Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to track progress, meet project/program milestones, and mitigate risks across AI/ML initiatives.  
  • JIRA & Documentation Management: Maintain clear, organized project documentation, including status reports, JIRA tickets, meeting notes, and action items.  
  • Technical Collaboration: Work with developers and engineers to ensure business requirements are accurately implemented and AI models are optimized across AMD's platform.  
  • Client Liaison & Communication: Act as a point of contact between internal teams and clients, ensuring solutions meet business needs and stakeholders are aligned.  
  • Power BI Reporting: Assist in the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards to track project performance and provide actionable insights.  

  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Business/Project/Program Analyst in technical environments (AI/ML, software development, or related fields).  
  • Proficient in JIRA, Agile methodologies, and project management/business/process analysis tools.  
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, translating them into functional and technical specifications.  
  • Expertise in process documentation and business process re-engineering to optimize workflows.  
  • Knowledge of the project management lifecycle, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focused on process optimization.  
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Triton, MIGraphX), training and inference models, and GPU software development is a plus.  
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and other data visualization tools.  
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business Analysis Certification (IIBA or PMI) enrollment or completion is preferred.  
  • Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Green+ certification nice to have.  
  • Agile Certification (Scrum Alliance) nice to have.  
  • Professional Scrum Certification (Scrum Alliance) nice to have.
  • IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) nice to have. 

  ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields.
