SUMMARY: The AI Product Intern will support the design, development, and delivery of AI-focused products, learning to navigate the entire product lifecycle from concept to deployment. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams—Product, Engineering, Data Science, and UX—to understand business needs and user challenges, then help transform these insights into AI-driven solutions. The AI Product Intern is curious, motivated, and eager to gain hands-on experience in both the technical and product-management aspects of AI initiatives at Stride.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Participate in end-to-end product development and learns how AI products are conceptualized, validated, iterated upon, and ultimately deployed to stakeholders.
- Contribute to prototyping & proofs-of-concept and assists in building simple ML prototypes or demos, collaborating with senior team members to explore potential AI applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Teams and work with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to gather requirements, test features, and refine AI-powered solutions.
- Support Data exploration & analysis by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data as needed for model development under guidance, ensuring data integrity and relevance to project goals.
- Learn & apply coding Best Practices through standardized Stride coding conventions and version control processes while gaining exposure to common AI/ML tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, basic libraries).
- Document progress & findings to keep clear records of project milestones, experiments, and lessons learned, contributing to broader team knowledge and project continuity.
- Engage in user feedback & iteration by observing user testing sessions, gathering feedback, and working with the product team to make iterative improvements to AI-driven features.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for education and show genuine interest in leveraging AI to enhance student retention and academic outcomes, aligning with Stride’s mission and values.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrollment or recent graduate pursuing (or recently completed) a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field—such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; OR
- Equivalent relevant coursework or experience.
- Basic Understanding of AI/ML
- Strong Interest in Product Lifecycle
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to grasp complex platform concepts and business models, in a digital context.
- Ability to clear required background check
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with a programming language (e.g., Python) and relevant libraries or frameworks (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn) is helpful but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of data visualization or reporting tools.
- Passion for education or prior experience in EdTech settings.
