Responsibilities

  • The Model Factory Team is seeking a skilled Data/ML Engineer with strong background in both Machine Learning and Software Engineering.
  • You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and other cross-functional teams to deploy challenging Data Science, Machine Learning and Deep Learning projects into production.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of MLOps including, CI/CD Pipelines, Automations, Evaluation & Monitoring etc. You will also facilitate activities such as knowledge-sharing workshops and hackathons, enabling effective knowledge transfer within the team.

Essential skills

  • Programming Languages: Python, C++
  • Proficient in DevOps and Software Engineering
  • MLOps Tools: Weights & Biases, Azure Machine Learning, MLFlow
  • Experience in CI/CD Automations, Containerization, Model Deployment and Model Monitoring Tools, like: Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Machine Learning etc.
  • Machine Learning and Deep Learning Frameworks: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras etc.
  • Experience in Database systems: Data Lake, Delta Lake, SQL Server etc.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, PowerBI etc.
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud Environment & its services such as DevOps, Azure ML etc.
  • Experience in Version Control Systems: Azure Repos, Git, etc.

  • Accountability: Owns and takes responsibility for the quality and delivery of the assigned tasks
  • Communication: Effectively communicates complex technical concepts to a diverse audience including technical, and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Collaboration: Works effectively as a part of the team, fostering a supportive and knowledge sharing environment
  • Project Management: Demonstrates the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage data science work, including creating roadmaps and timelines.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking: Identifies challenges and implements innovative and efficient solutions to address them

Experience

  • Around 6 years of experience in an MLOps Engineer, Data Engineering or related role
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with at least one day per week on-site in Derby
  • Enthusiasm for conducting knowledge sharing sessions and fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing and aerospace industry is highly beneficial
  • Experience in developing Data Science and Machine Learning models is a plus
  • Experience in other programming languages such a Java, C# is a plus
