We’re growing. To complement our team we are looking for a business process optimization consultant in the field of Audit & Assurance to join our team as soon as possible. In this business unit, we offer a broad range of services which includes financial audit, assurance services and data science. As a result of our enormous growth and our ever-increasing ambitions to improve our service offering in terms of efficiency and quality, we have placed a particular focus on the automation of business processes in our process landscape and the associated existing and new tools with a particular footprint in the Microsoft ecosystem.

As a consultant in Microsoft Automation for Audit & Assurance you will work with a great team of data experts, process owners and domain experts who are motivated to improve the quality and accuracy of our internal processes. You will work with leading partners across the organization both within Germany and our international network in order to make state of the art solutions available to our teams. You will support the team in the following fields, depending on your interest & expertise: 
  
Optimize business processes within the Microsoft ecosystem 

• Collaborate with the other teams to optimize and automate their business processes. 
• Organize meetings / workshops with the key stakeholders to understand their pain points and their wishes. 
• Design and implement solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem to address the identified need. 
• Alternatively design and implement small Python applications to address the identified need. 

Roll out and maintain those solutions, manage expectations from the stakeholders and accompany your solutions along the typical lifecycle of products & solutions which includes trainings, preparation of state-of-the-art documentation, arranging necessary alignments with our Quality, Risk & Independence department and much more. 
 
Furthermore, you get the opportunity to learn about technical topics like: 

• Data engineering 
• Machine learning 
• Python scripting / light software development in Python  
• Financial audit

Professional strengths that set you apart. 

• You have a Bachelor or a Master in the field of Business-informatics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a comparable field. 
• You have experience with Power Automate / Power Apps 
• You have at least a basic understanding of UX/UI design 
• You communicate effectively and independently, work independently and purposefully to deliver high-quality results on time and possess good communication skills both in English and in German. 
• You are interested in modern data science methods to improve the audit. 
• Basic understanding of concepts like business intelligence, data mining, data science or process mining is a plus. 
• Basic understanding of accounting and the purpose of financial audit is advantageous. 
   

You will be working with a team of highly skilled and supportive data experts who work with an agile approach in their everyday tasks. Team language is English, but this position would require close collaboration with people who speak German only, therefore applicants with language skills close to a German native speaker are preferred. This position is a “work from anywhere in Germany” position which, on the other hand, requires a high degree of self-organization and excellent communication skills.
