Primary Purpose

The Senior Director, Product Data Management will lead enterprise data initiatives that will help drive data-driven-decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, predictive modeling, and product management, with a focus on transforming business processes and enhancing transparency.

This hybrid role requires in-person work at our Newton, MA headquarters.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics and Reporting
    • Collaborate with IT to develop and maintain reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and complex data metrics.
    • Strategize with product and IT teams to develop dashboards for product metrics and strategic business outcomes.
    • Identify and implement new methodologies to improve complex data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
    • Execute on strategic data projects like
    • Predictive Center Staffing Modeling: Develop a predictive model to support the transparency of ‘Requested Enrollments’ matched to staffed and unstaffed positions.
    • Inventory Modeling to help track available capacity in our centers to support strategic planning and operational efficiency
    • College Coach use and user base data model
  • Product Data Management
    • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate data management practices into the product lifecycle.
    • Define and manage data requirements for new and existing products.
    • Translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and IT, to ensure data management aligns with and supports strategic business needs.
    • Communicate complex data insights and strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Collaboration & Culture
    • Develop strong relationships with internal partners at Bright Horizons to understand current and future needs, identify areas of opportunity and risks, and consumer, and stakeholder needs.
    • Develop strong relations with IT/Engineering to understand system, data, and infrastructure needs and technology roadmap.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including LOBs, data engineering and Enterprise Product teams, to translate business needs into data-driven solutions and recommendations.
    • Exemplify and foster the Bright Horizons culture and our HEART Principles both internally and externally.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in business or computer science.
  • 10 years of proven experience in data science, predictive modeling, and product management
  • 2 years of experience with Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and its application in B2B environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing environments.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics to drive progress.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in facilitating cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated history of contributing positively to company culture
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, childcare, education, workforce education or other related areas a plus
  • Passion for improving the lives of individuals and organizations through education and care
