ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Product Data Manager, you, will lead a team of data professionals to execute data management processes and governance globally. You will serve as a global support for business functions for a variety of data management processes. Additionally, you will manage product instruction handbook assembly for third-party manufacturers. You are expected to evolve & adapt quickly in the next year as the company modernizes our digital capabilities and tools.  This role will be expected to help lead this evolution for the company and for the teams she/he manages.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Relationship:

  • Support SCJ line of businesses (Global Consumer Brands, Lifestyles, & Professional) to win in the marketplace by executing efficient and effective processes for data management

  • Build and maintain partnerships with business stakeholders for the purpose of:

    • Educate and guide teams on standards and data management principles

    • Continually improving data processes

    • Training the business on execution and adoption of data processes and changes

    • Drive efficiencies in both data processes as well as adjacent processes by synergizing with functional stakeholders

    • Develop and deliver metrics to stakeholders

    • Integrate and connect data processes to the end-to-end product development framework

    • Evaluate and expand the services provided to the business to release functional capacity for more value-added activities

Data Processes:

  • Deliver a consistent stream of continuous improvements for all data processes in scope using agile and lean six sigma methodology (OPEX).

  • Ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across the organization

  • Establish and maintain a sustainable foundation which ensures the process is fully adopted, controlled, and supported by a high performing team, including the business

  • Lead portions of SCJ digitization initiatives by adapting the team to new processes, automation, data tools and systems

  • Promote data governance best practices & standards by ensuring SCJ policy and compliance will be followed.

  • Run the continuous improvement framework for data processes.

People Management:

  • Manage and lead a team of SCJ product data professionals and contractors.

  • Enhance team capability to improve speed and quality of the service provided to the business with process improvement, data integrity mindsets and changes adoption

  • Providing guidance and training to employees on data management best practices

  • Support organization change management initiatives and adoption

  • Manage contractual agreements with managed service provider of contractor workforce

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Minimum of 5+ years data experience and 7+ years total business experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant degree

  • 2+ year of experience leading/managing a team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Strong ability to interact effectively and influence at all levels of the organization

  • MBA or MS preferred

  • Demonstrated process improvement capability / certification (OPEX, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred

  • Expert and evangelist for the paradigm shift to “data as an asset”

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service mindset

  • Strong continuous improvement mindset

  • Business functional experience

  • Experience in root cause analysis and other analytic techniques

  • Experience with breakthrough projects, terminology, and methodology

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time

  • Minium 10% travel

  • Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 25lbs

  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees

  • The position is eligible for domestic relocation
