At PwC, our people in integration and platform architecture focus on designing and implementing seamless integration solutions and robust platform architectures for clients. They enable efficient data flow and optimise technology infrastructure for enhanced business performance.

Those in solution architecture at PwC will design and implement innovative technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. You will leverage your experience in analysing requirements, developing technical designs to enable the successful delivery of solutions.

As part of our Solution Architecture team, you will focus on planning, high-level design and reusability of solutions – in contrast to engineers, who carry out the vision and build the product. Architects develop specifications, models, standards and guidelines to coherently and consistently deliver technology.

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration and Platform Architecture Solutions Architect to join our team. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing robust and scalable platform architectures for our clients while actively participating in the sales cycle.

As a Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Execution:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data platforms with a strong focus on cloud environments, especially Azure.
• Implement and optimize big data technologies and frameworks, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Kafka, and MS Fabric.
• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve bottleneck issues.

Technical Advisory and Solution Presentation:

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding clients in decision-making and establishing their data practices.
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and present technical solutions tailored to various stakeholder levels.
• Create proposals for scalable data platform architectures and actively participate in solution reviews and audits.

Sales Cycle Participation:

• Collaborate with sales teams to identify client needs and develop strategic solutions to address complex business challenges.
• Contribute to roadmap development and implementation strategies for data and analytics initiatives.

Client and Team Collaboration:

• Maintain active engagement with clients by being 100% client-facing, ensuring solutions align with business needs.
• Work in-office at least three days a week to foster collaboration and connectivity with team members.

Communication and Education:

• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Educate clients on modern data and analytics technologies, architectures, and approaches.

Additional Job Description

• Extensive experience as a Solutions Architect with a strong background in data and analytics.
• Proficiency in big data technologies like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Kafka, MS Fabric.
• Strong strategic thinking with a focus on delivering client-centric solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at explaining complex solutions to varied audiences.
• Independent work ethic with strong team collaboration skills.

PwC BC Region Pay Range Information   

The salary range* for this position is $162,200 - $270,200, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.   

*Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region.  Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location.   PwC is committed to competitive compensation and sharing salary ranges in accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation as they arise.
