Overview

JST is seeking a Data Scientist/Business Analyst to join our team.

This is a full-time position in Washington, D.C, Dayton, OH or Austin, TX. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Data Scientist/Business Analyst Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze requirements through working with various stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and concise requirements for IT projects and initiatives by conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information and document processes.
  • Analyze existing workflows and identify and document areas for improvement and optimization by streamlining processes, automating tasks, and suggesting and implementing new technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring IT projects by developing project plans, tracking progress, managing risks, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making by creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to determine their potential value and applicability to the mission by attending and/or participating in industry events, reading research papers, and conducting pilot projects.

Data Scientist/Business Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant experience required
  • Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities and have strong time management skills working under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a highly dispersed remote organization.
  • Travel is required and expected based on needed support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Clearance Requirements

  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance.
