Job Description
We are seeking a talented Computational Programmer specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to join our team in Amman, Jordan. In this role, you will develop innovative software solutions to optimize MEP design and analysis processes, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of building projects.
- Develop and maintain software applications for MEP design, analysis, and simulation
- Create algorithms and computational models to optimize MEP systems performance
- Collaborate with MEP engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into efficient software solutions
- Implement energy modeling and simulation tools to enhance building sustainability
- Integrate MEP design software with Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms
- Develop and maintain documentation for software applications and processes
- Troubleshoot and debug existing software to improve performance and functionality
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in computational MEP design
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in computational programming for MEP systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, Java and MATLAB
- Strong knowledge of MEP design software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Solidworks, Rhino/Grasshopper)
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and energy modeling tools
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Solid understanding of MEP systems, building codes, and engineering principles
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability principles in building design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- MEP certification (e.g., LEED AP, ASHRAE certifications) is preferred
- Willingness to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trend
