About the Role

Drafts by Visalaw.ai is an AI-powered tool designed to streamline the drafting of immigration petitions, expert letters, and legal briefs, helping attorneys automate and optimize their workflow.

Our team is looking for a Drafts Project Manager with a strong background in immigration law and brief drafting to help build and maintain our AI-driven legal drafting tools.

A primary focus of this role will be assisting in prompt writing and review, ensuring that AI-generated legal documents meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. Additionally, this role will be responsible for onboarding new customers to our Drafts platform, ensuring they understand and effectively utilize the AI-powered legal drafting tools.

While direct experience in AI-powered automation is not required, a strong interest in AI-driven legal technology is highly valued. This person will report directly to our Drafts Product Lead and will play a key role in developing, testing, and refining legal drafting solutions. The role also involves quality assurance (QA) testing, legal research, and contributing to best practices for evaluating large language models (LLMs) and AI-powered document automation.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain AI-powered legal drafting tools by refining automation workflows for immigration and other legal documents.
  • Assist in prompt engineering, ensuring accuracy and compliance in AI-generated legal documents.
  • Conduct quality assurance and compliance reviews to ensure documents align with immigration law requirements and legal best practices.
  • Collaborate with legal and product teams, working closely with attorneys, product managers, and engineers to enhance legal automation tools.
  • Research and evaluate AI models and large language models (LLMs) to establish best practices for prompt engineering and document automation.
  • Lead onboarding sessions for new customers of the Drafts platform, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
  • Identify inefficiencies in legal drafting processes and implement automation strategies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collect and analyze user feedback from legal professionals to enhance product functionality and improve automation effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in immigration law (as paralegal or attorney). Experience in petition letter drafting a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with legal team and technical team, effectively translating legal requirements.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to refine and improve AI-powered legal drafting solutions.
  • Interest in AI-driven legal software and automation.
  • Experience in prompt engineering, AI-powered tools, or legal tech innovation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in no-code/low-code platforms for legal document automation is a plus.
