This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Lead with a strong background in Microsoft Fabric and desired experience in advanced AI/ML technologies to join our dynamic team. The BI Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of BI solutions, leveraging Fabric for data management and using AI/ML to provide actionable insights for the business. This role requires expertise in leading BI projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts. Define and execute the BI strategy to align with business goals, ensuring data initiatives deliver measurable value.
- BI Solution Design & Development: Architect, implement, and manage BI reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performance analytics, and reporting frameworks. Experience working with Agile tools such as JIRA is required.
- Data Management: Oversee the ingestion, transformation, and storage of data into semantic models within Fabric, integrating data from multiple sources to ensure a unified, accurate, and accessible data layer for analytics and reporting.
- AI/ML Integration: Collaborate with business teams across the organization to implement AI/ML models and integrate them into BI dashboards and reporting tools, enabling predictive analytics and data-driven insights.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and IT teams to understand business requirements and deliver actionable data insights. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical teams.
- Data Governance & Quality: Ensure established data governance standards and processes/practices are followed
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging BI technologies, AI/ML advancements, and Microsoft Fabric capabilities. Identify and implement improvements to existing BI tools and processes.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop custom dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide business leaders with real-time, actionable insights. Use AI/ML models to enhance decision-making processes across departments.
- Support: Provide support to the business users across various Analytical tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, Alteryx, Business Objects, etc) directly or in conjunction with the support team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 10 + years Proven experience in BI leadership, with a strong track record of managing BI teams and projects.
- Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including data lake, semantic modeling, and data warehousing capabilities including Dataflow Gen2, data pipelines, etc.
- Desired experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Azure ML, etc.) for integrating predictive analytics and machine learning models into BI solutions.
- Understanding of data architecture and data integration techniques, including ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI (required) Tableau (required), or similar, with the ability to design and develop complex dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure and experience with cloud-based BI and data engineering solutions.
- Desired programming skills in languages such as SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and model development.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
