The DevOps team is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers Datassential’s applications and data platforms. We focus on automation, reliability, and scalability to ensure our systems remain secure, efficient, and resilient. From managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to improving monitoring, security, and cost efficiency, we work closely with development teams to streamline deployments and optimize performance. Our goal is to provide a strong, stable foundation that allows our engineering teams to deliver high-quality products quickly and reliably.
What you will do
- Build, manage, and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins JTE) and AWS-based infrastructure to deploy and run Datassential’s applications efficiently and reliably.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform to ensure consistency, security, and scalability across environments.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand requirements, design effective infrastructure solutions, and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
- Proactively monitor system performance and security, managing tools like New Relic, Snyk, SonarCloud, and Intruder.io to maintain compliance and reliability.
- Mentor other DevOps team members, share knowledge, champion best practices, and contribute to architectural discussions as we transition toward a Platform Engineering model.

Requirements
What you bring
- 7-10 years of experience in DevOps, with extensive hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure
- Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Strong experience with Jenkins pipelines, including Jenkins Templating Engine (JTE) and Groovy scripting
- Comfortable deploying, managing, and migrating containerized workloads on AWS ECS and Kubernetes (EKS), including building EKS clusters from scratch
- Solid Linux administration skills, including troubleshooting via CLI and scripting (Bash, Python)
- Experienced with secure networking concepts, including AWS networking services, protocols, routing, and network security best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with security and compliance tools (Snyk, SonarCloud, Intruder.io, Vanta)
- Familiarity configuring monitoring and alerting solutions, particularly New Relic
- Experience integrating Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket) into CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with modern AI tools aimed at improving developer productivity, including supporting ML workloads (e.g., AWS SageMaker, MLOps, and related data pipelines)
- Previous experience using AWS Serverless services (Lambda, Serverless RDS, API Gateway, etc.)
- Experience managing AWS IAM, including creating and maintaining policies, roles, and permissions for secure resource access

The pay range for this role is $140,000k/yr- $150,000k/yr. Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
