About The Role

We are seeking People Data Scientist to join the People Analytics & Data team here at Haleon!

In this role, you will work with the People Data & Analytics team and cross-functionally developing people analytics insights and solutions. You will apply data science and statistical modelling techniques to test hypotheses and communicate results within talent management, learning, leadership development, performance, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, etc. Leveraging your strong expertise in data science, data engineering, and data visualizations, you will undertake comprehensive data analysis to bring people and business data together. Your focus will be on using advanced data techniques to generate actionable insights and interventions that drive business impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their key business questions related to the workforce.

  • Bring together the relevant people data and ensure it is complete, accurate, consistent and managed ethically and responsibly as per the data privacy procedures and processes (e.g. GDPR).

  • Apply technologies and methods across people data science, engineering and visualisation to provide insights across areas such as talent management, learning, leadership development, performance, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion etc.

  • Leverage statistical techniques such as regression modelling and analysis, hypothesis testing, driver analysis etc. to derive meaningful conclusions, recommendations and interventions. Communicate statistical results and findings.

  • Help to improve the capabilities within the team keeping up to date with new technologies and methods across people data science, engineering and visualisations.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Data science, Machine learning, Computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, HR, I/O Psychology, or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods and experience of applying them, including regression modelling and analysis, hypothesis testing, driver analysis etc. Experience with data visualisations.

  • Proven track record of using statistical software and / or programming languages (e.g. R, Python or/and SQL to query data bases etc.)

  • Good understanding of research design and analysis around key HR topics to support project work (i.e. quantitative and qualitative research experience).

  • Experience in people analytics or a related field, working with people and business data and delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.

Preferred

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking, with a data-driven mindset.

  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR professionals, data scientists and business stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
