Job Summary

This role serves as the primary data product expert, leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions. The Lead Data Product Analyst collaborates closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to align data products with strategic objectives. This role requires a strong blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and leadership to drive data adoption and maximize business value. As a key liaison, the Lead Data Product Analyst ensures that business partners can effectively access, interpret, and utilize data to drive decision-making and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research on all aspects of a product’s experiences and data, provide findings and recommendations on which data are critical to fully understand the customer experience.

  • Own and drive the data product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Lead cross-functional collaborations between business leaders, data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to enhance data accessibility and usability.

  • Develop and refine data models, tables, and dashboards to support self-service analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

  • Define and implement best practices for data governance, integrity, and quality assurance across data products.

  • Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert, advocating for data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of data literacy.

  • Partner with business teams to translate strategic goals into actionable data solutions that support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer insights.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and guidance for data product usage across the organization.

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team skill development through training and coaching.

  • Evaluate and integrate new data sources and technologies that enhance analytics capabilities.

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or another related field

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data product management, or business intelligence.

  • 5+ years of experience in a business analysis role, working with data solutions that impact business strategy.

  • 3+ years of experience leading data-driven projects and cross-functional teams.

  • Expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and proficiency in SQL, Python, or equivalent analytical tools.

  • Experience with cloud-based data environments such as Azure, AWS, or Databricks.

  • Strong background in designing and implementing data models, ETL processes, and self-service analytics solutions.

  • Proven ability to drive the adoption of data products and facilitate alignment between business and technical teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL.

  • Strong understanding of data warehouse/data modeling concepts and procedures.

  • Ability to lead complex projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive alignment across diverse teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Deep understanding of business processes and how data can drive efficiencies and competitive advantages.

  • Hands-on experience with data modeling, governance, and automation of analytics workflows.

  • Passion for mentoring and fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple teams.

  • Ability to develop, document, and deliver end user materials such as training or project SDLC artifacts.

  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud-based architecture and PowerBI.

  • Proficiency within the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Other:

Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field

  • Professional Data certifications (e.g., Databricks, Azure or AWS).

  • Experience with customer-facing digital platforms, IoT analytics, and SaaS business models.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Agile frameworks.

  • Experience in managing and optimizing data infrastructure in cloud-based environments.

Experience:

  • Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks and ADLS Gen 2

  • Google analytics, Firebase, Big Query

  • Event Hubs, Kafka

  • Salesforce, SAP, CDP platforms such as Tealium

  • Building and creating web-based data visualization

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Project Management/Tracking tools such as Jira

  • CI/CD, Source Control, BitBucket, etc.

  • Working with a software/technology organization

The pay range/rate of pay for this position is $97,700.00 - $184,175.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.  In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).  This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
