Your role:

Responsibilities

  • Measures, analyzes, and strategizes improvement in Operations via Data Science algorithms
  • Leads development and usage of data science models (such as forecasting, regression and simulation) to support better decisions and improve performance of Hubs and Functions
  • Ability to develop and deliver analytics awareness raising programs to maximize organization benefits. Ability to provide strategic advises to senior executives.
    Provide leadership across technical projects leveraging internal data assets and external data.
  • Run full lifecycle of Analytics projects, providing rigorous, impartial feedback, measurement advice for action, and thought leadership.
  • Drive excellent practices and technical standards for establishing data science driven root causes of performance measures and improvement plans for Operations. Should be adept at developing information suites (Dashboards, reports, visualizations) fit for C-level consumption.
  • Leverage our data to scale our ability to optimize Operational performance through analysis, modelling, experiments and pre-post analyses.
  • When required, interact with FDA and participate in Notified Body audits and inspections with favorable outcomes.

Technical Knowledge and  Skills required

  • In depth understanding of all applicable tools and advanced skills in programing like Python, R, SAS etc.
  • Excellent in data acquisition, preprocessing, modeling & deployment
  • Excellent in critical thinking and problem-solving using analytics approach (including design of experiments) as well as basic ideas of Project Management
  • Able to critically evaluate, analyze complex business information from multiple perspectives to make strategic decisions
  • In-depth understanding of all stages of projects and identify relevant resources. Negotiates with stakeholders and suppliers to identify best practice outcomes
  • Track record in delivering strong and impactful insights
  • Thorough understanding of financial metrics used to benchmark competitors
  • High affinity with applying new IT platforms / dash boarding software tools for reporting and experience in a complex, matrixed, multinational environment
  • Strong background into Database design,  modeling and architecture
  • Strong background of development/management of  platforms such as Power Apps, Power BI,  Qlik, QlikSense, etc.
  • Experienced knowledge of global medical device regulations, requirements, and standards, such as FDA, ISO13485, ISO14971, and EUMDR.

Analytics solution life cycle competencies required

  • Extensive knowledge of analytics principles; practiced and applied across areas of data wrangling, ML, recalibration and model deployment.
  • Ability to develop and deliver data awareness raising programs to maximize organization benefits.
  • Ability to provide strategic advises to senior executives.
  • Provide leadership across technical projects leveraging internal data assets and external data.

  • Highly driven, energetic, flexible, resourceful & ability to multitask
  • Clarity of thoughts and vision
  • Ability to ideate and bring solutions to the table
  • Adherence to timelines, without sacrificing quality of output
  • Hands on and detail oriented, with a strong ability to co-ordinate across different Geographies and with different stakeholders at Exec and Director/Sr. Director levels

Work Experience

  • 12+ years of increasingly responsible experience in analytics & data science roles,
  • 6 to 8 years of people or project management experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical device, pharma, or other regulated industry required with an emphasis quality compliance/roles

Academics

  • MBA /BTech-BE from IIT/NITs or Tier 1 engineering schools only, MStat/MS (Math)/MA Econ  from Tier 1 schools, MS Analytics from Tier 1 schools
  • MSc degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g., Math, Statistics, Physics, Operations Research, Economics, Econometrics
  • Established publication record in Q1 scientific journals or equivalent (i.e something to demonstrate application of data science skills and staying state-of-the-art)


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
