The Position
Position: Financial and Business Analyst
Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan
What is the Financial and Business Analysis:
Financial analysis refers to an assessment of the viability, stability, and profitability of a business, sub-business or project. It is performed by professionals who prepare reports using ratios and other techniques, that make use of information taken from financial statements and other reports.
Financial analysis is the process of evaluating businesses, projects, budgets, and other finance-related transactions to determine their performance and suitability. Typically, financial analysis is used to analyze whether an entity is stable, or profitable for further development.
Financial Analysts work closely with senior stakeholders providing analysis to track and improve performance. Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. Guides cost analysis process.
Preparing accounting and other required reports and projections based on the analysis performed. Evaluating capital expenditures and asset depreciation.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- O-2 years of experience in the field or in a related field
- Familiarity with financial programs and software
- Basic understanding of principles of finance
Financial and Business Analyst Essential Skills:

- Technical skills (advanced Excel User, Presentation skills, ability to create reports)

Financial and Business Analyst Roles & Responsibilities:
- Invoice processing allocating costs by cost centers and GL accounts
- Reconciliation (from business dpt) of the actual costs booked in SAP systems vs amounts submitted to the accounting dpt by business.
- Analyze financial data (costs, OPEX, P&L, Sales) and provide forecasting support
- Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics
- Oversee financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control and project control
- Study a company’s financial data to give advice for guiding business investments and overall financial strategy.
