As a Data Scientist Intern at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for developing innovative methodologies to discover insights from data. You will implement your methodology by pulling data from data warehouse, and utilize parallel and distributed computing on Micron's big data platform to cleanse data and perform analysis. You will also develop reusable software packages or end-to-end software to share methodologies across Micron’s internal network. Your work should contribute to Micron’s business goals.

You will draw knowledge and skills from multidisciplinary fields, such as Mathematics, Statistics, lithographic, physics, CV, machine learning, data engineering, software engineering, chemistry, electric/chemical engineering and semiconductor processes, to perform analysis, build predictive models and generating insights. We focus on Lithographic domain application, you will also adopt excellent communication skills to discuss with process/equipment/PI engineers over your analysis logic and findings. You likely participate in a cross-functional project team to build, test, and deliver end-to-end software product to our business customer.

We are seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our Data Science team in Smart Manufacturing and AI (SMAI) group in Micron Technology.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with business customers to understand domain knowledge and requirements.
• Develop a prototype solution with required proof of concepts experiments.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional project team to develop and deliver SMAI solutions to business customers.
• Gather customer feedback to keep improving existing prototype / solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Decent programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Knowledges of structured data analytics and modeling, especially in statistical learning, machine learning or deep learning.
• Ability to demonstrate the analytical results by commonly used visualization tools, such as JMP, Tableau, Power BI, Grafana etc.
• Excellent English communication, especially in writing and speaking.
• Parallel or distributed data process experience with Dask / PySpark is a plus.
• Web development experience with Angular is a plus.
