Technology Financial Data and Reporting Lead

Huntington Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is seeking a colleague to strategically partner with Technology Leadership by providing quality financial reporting & analysis.

The position will be responsible for driving consistent executive financial reporting, investment and expense management deliverables, as well as IT fixed assets & balance sheet management.  This role will report through the Technology CFO.

Job Description

• Lead Financial data and reporting consolidation for Technology FP&A
• Partner with Controllership throughout the month-end financial close process
• Complete monthly forecasting, as well as annual budget & long-range planning activities
• Participate in monthly financial performance reviews by adding detailed variance analysis, performance narratives, and robust risks & opportunities
• Provide insights to assist in workforce position management, labor cost optimization, and vendor engagements
• Optimize financial performance through expense management, detailed business cases, capital spend forecasting, and insightful analytical reporting
• Partner with Technology leadership to efficiently deliver top priorities by optimizing investment and production budgets
• Partner with Strategy, Investor Relations, Finance and Business functions on various reporting and analytical needs for financial data
• Support merger and acquisition (M&A) and other growth initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Data, Economics, Math, Accounting, etc.)
• Minimum 6 or more years of experience in financial support roles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of GAAP treatment for IT labor, hardware & software purchasing and technology maintenance contracts.
• Experience with Office applications, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Hyperion Essbase/Smart View experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Total Cost of Ownership and activity based costing.
• Candidate must have ability to question status quo, be naturally inquisitive, comfortable with challenging others opinions in a constructive manner and be an active listener.
• Collaborative personality -- able to manage different points of view and able to build positive relationships inside and outside of the team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage large data-sets and create efficient, repeatable processes through automation
• Flexibility to adapt to tough timelines and ability to manage complex projects.

Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
