Job Description

As an embedded software engineering intern, you will be instrumental in helping our engineers assess the suitability of new ideas for our future products by capturing measurements and establishing benchmarks for our new product prototypes. You will help our engineering and management teams make critical decisions regarding the viability of future ideas.

• Implement Embedded Systems performance benchmark testing programs in C/C++ and Python.
• Perform PCIe/SPI/USB protocol packet analysis and performance evaluation.
• Collect Embedded Systems telemetry traces
• Plot real-time traces using known graphics libraries, matplotlib, bokeh, etc
• Develop and maintain benchmarking documents

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems background
• Experience writing C/C++ programs for Embedded Systems
• High-Level understanding of low-level protocols such as USB, SPI, or PCIe
• Familiarity with Embedded Systems Interprocess communication
• Experience with GPIO programming
• Familiarity with Git and Bitbucket
• Proficiency in Python 3.8+ and visualization libraries such as matplotlib
• Familiarity with the Linux OS and preferably Ubuntu
• Experience with Linux Gui libraries such as Qt

Nice to Have

• Experience with GPU programming
• Experience with GPU telemetry capturing and graphical display
• Experience with AI-ML and Anomaly Detection
• Basic understanding of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography
• Some experience with cryptographic libraries such as OpenSSL, WolfSSL or Mbed-TLS
