AI/ML based Network Optimization Trainee

As an intern under the supervision of Nokia Bell Labs researchers, you will work on complex but practical optimization challenges utilizing real data from 5G networks, applying the results in a real 5G test network. 

As part of this effort, you will: 

• Participate in the design, implementation and validation of AI/ML models in various parts of the telecommunication system, especially AI/ML based network state modeling, dynamic behavior modeling, prediction and automation. 
• Contribute to the development of proof-of-concepts in AI/ML based network management and Network Digital Twins. 
   

• Good programming skills in Python, Java or C/C++ (one of these) 
• Familiarity with data frameworks (e.g., PySpark, Pandas, Telegraf, InfluxDB) and data structures/protocols (e.g., YAML, JSON, ProtoBuf) 
• Familiarity with machine learning and data science (one of Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch) 
• LLM related experience is a plus 
• User level knowledge of Linux, handling the command line and basic scripting capabilities (bash, awk)
