The program provides hands-on experience in the innovative Single Family Rental REIT industry, enabling you to gain a comprehensive understanding of this groundbreaking field. By the end of the program, interns will have gained valuable skills and knowledge that will be beneficial in their future careers. 

The Demand Generation Marketing Intern will leverage data science skills to analyze marketing data and generate insights that directly drive lead generation and sales activity, essentially using data to identify and target potential customers more effectively for marketing campaigns, contributing to the overall demand generation process.

Internship Learning Objectives & Task Goals:

  • Gain hands-on experience applying data science to real-world marketing challenges.
  • Develop skills in data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Understand the impact of data-driven decision making on marketing campaigns.
  • Network with marketing and data science teams within the company.
  • Have familiarization with data analysis extracting meaningful insights from customer data, marketing campaign data, and other relevant sources using statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and data visualization tools. 
  • Comfortable analyzing campaign performance data to identify areas for improvement, such as adjusting targeting criteria, messaging, and campaign channels. 
  • Interest in building models to predict customer behavior and identify high-value leads. 
  • Develops and delivers custom analytics regarding online behavior of future and current residents as well as standardized reporting on effective marketing efforts.
  • Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner. 
  • Handles various other ad hoc projects and duties as delegated by direct supervisor/management.
     

Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:

  • Must have completed a minimum of 2 years of college or university coursework with a major or concentration in Data Science, Marketing, and/or related field required. 
  • Programming languages like Python, R, SQL for data manipulation and querying.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Google Analytics (or similar analytics program). 
  • Knowledge and experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power Bi). 
  • Intermediate data entry/typing skills. 
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Strong customer, quality, and results orientation. 
  • Ability to be an effective member of project teams.
  • Must be interested in marketing, data science, and business outcomes analysis

This is a paid internship, however AMH does not provide housing, relocation, or transportation assistance.

In the states of Colorado, California, Washington, and Illinois; the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $22.00.  Actual starting base pay will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
