McLean, VA, with operations across the United States, RIVA has over 350 employees supporting key Federal customers in the Federal Civilian, Federal Health, and
National Security markets.We are seeking Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) students to join our Solutions team. The intern will work closely with the VP of Application Services and other leaders, gaining experience in AI/ML, application development, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and Human-Centered Design (HCD) techniques. This opportunity is designed to enhance the interns' learning and application of cutting-edge technologies across various technical services.The ideal candidate for this internship is someone inherently curious and passionate about the forefront of technology. We are looking for a learner eager to delve into big data, analytics, AI/ML, and DevSecOps, exploring how to operationalize these disciplines effectively. A perfect fit would be someone who enjoys tinkering with different technologies, has a grasp of various programming languages, and is familiar with computer science methods. Tasks to be performed but not limited to:

• Data Analysis and Management: Working with big data to organize, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns.
• AI/ML Modeling: Assisting in building and testing machine learning models to improve or innovate services.
• Software Development: Writing and debugging code for various applications, particularly in a DevSecOps environment where development, security, and operations converge.
• Operational Support: Helping to operationalize technical projects, ensuring they transition smoothly from concept to deployment.
• Innovative Exploration: Experimenting with new technologies and methodologies to contribute to project advancements.
• Proposal Development: Assisting in the drafting and refining of proposals, focusing on the technical solutions that meet client needs and project specifications.
• Solution Architecting: Support the Solutions practice leads in solution architecture tasks, helping to design and develop frameworks and structures that meet project and client specifications.

To be considered for our internship program, you must meet the following
qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interactions with clients and team members.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Some proficiency with programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or .NET.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in your major.
• Based in the greater DC, MD, Northern VA area, able to work in a hybrid setup with some onsite requirements. Most work can be performed remotely.
