Who You Are

Tetrascience is hiring an elite product marketing leader for our suite of next-gen lab data management products. Alongside your product management peer, you will be responsible for the product definition of this suite as well as its packaging, pricing, promotion, and partnering strategies. 

As we rapidly evolve and externalize our platform and open up entirely new value creation paths, we require an uncompromising and results-driven product marketing leader.

You will need to be a high clock speed individual with a passion for shattering the status quo of scientific data silos. You will need to be forward-thinking to assist us, and this industry, in transforming scientific data into AI-native data to accelerate and improve scientific outcomes. 

You will need to fundamentally embody the principles of extreme ownership and have a demonstrated history of delivering best-in-class products to market and ensuring high levels of customer adoption. 

You will have demonstrable experience in cross-functional and cross-enterprise collaboration. You are a point guard archetype, calling plays, setting the tempo, and ensuring your teammates are set up for success. You are not a passive role player. 

For the avoidance of doubt, notwithstanding our market leadership position, we remain in the category creation and evangelism phase and thus it will require extreme self-discipline and determination as we forge a category that will fundamentally and forever change the life science industry.

You are expert in your craft and the lab data management market. 

You have spent your most formative years relentlessly focused on the digitalization of the life sciences laboratory. You are unaccepting of the status quo - i.e., the data silo quagmire, point-to-point integrations, lack of visionary data strategy, and IT “projects” v. productized data stacks. You strive to make every piece of data accessible, findable, interoperable, and reusable. You have realised that this is only possible with a cloud first, modern, and purpose-built data and AI stack. 

You will know that only by replatforming and completely reengineering all available scientific data can you unlock the potential for the life sciences industry to achieve advanced scientific and operational outcomes thus opening the path to Scientific AI.

We are looking for candidates who have led product marketing teams to disrupt the status quo within the life sciences lab informatics world, whether it be in the ELN, LIMS, or SDMS markets. You are a black belt in this discipline. 

You love to collaborate with customers, with fellow product marketeers, demand gen teams, sales, engineers and executives. You know that by projecting the right voice to the industry we can generate immense demand for our products. 

You consistently seek understanding and clarity. You look at every customer interaction as an opportunity to learn. You aren’t afraid to ask questions and listen to our customers. You have the humility and confidence to not be the smartest person in the room.

What You Will Do

In this role you will lead the marketing strategy for our next-gen scientific data management and lab automation solutions. You will do this in close collaboration with your product and marketing peers in the AI/ML and scientific use case teams. 

Your persona-based focus will be the IT teams supporting Science, Operations, and Manufacturing at the largest pharmaceutical enterprises in the world. This persona has an urgent need to enable scientific and operational outcomes by transforming scientific data (experiment context and design, instrument outputs, analysis results, CRO & CDMO) and making it available in the Tetra Scientific Data and AI Cloud. 

You will play the key role creating product messaging, pricing, packaging, sales tools and customer-facing content to communicate the value of our category-defining Tetra Scientific Data and AI Cloud for the top biopharmas who urgently need a next-gen lab data management system. You will be responsible for developing targeted messaging for key technical personas, including IT, Data Engineers and Data Scientists. 

You will ensure we effectively articulate the capabilities, differentiation, and business value of TetraScience solutions through all channels to the above personas to drive new business and existing customer expansion. You will wake up each morning thinking about how to create more pipeline for our teams.   

Responsibilities

  • Create and measure yourself on the pipeline generated. 
  • Enable and equip the sales team with crucial sales tools, live training and resources that allows them to communicate the platform’s technical capabilities and value to customers. 
  • Deliver customer-facing technical marketing content (e.g. whitepapers, ROI calculators, blogs, white papers, solution briefs, eBooks, website copy, videos, and webinars) that attracts and engages our target Scientific IT persona while fueling broader marketing programs. 
  • Develop, maintain and evolve new pricing/packaging models to sell the full value of TetraScience’s Next-Gen Lab Data Management Products.  
  • Alongside our technical and enablement teams you will create technical content like demos, presentations and FAQs to assist in the sales process.
  • Build deep relationships with our customers' IT teams; deeply understand their processes and objectives
  • Be deeply knowledgeable of key competitors’ strengths/weaknesses and reasons for competitive wins/losses (including in-house or custom development) and create tools that enable Sales to successfully beat the competition.
  • Build deep relationships with our customers' IT teams; deeply understand their processes and objectives
  • Conduct thorough market research and user feedback sessions to understand the needs and challenges faced by scientific and operational IT translating these insights into high value product features

Requirements

  • 5+ years in life science software product marketing, ideally with a vendor producing LIMS, ELN, or SDMS products but you could also have come from a horizontal data vendor serving life sciences. 
  • Experience working with an enterprise customer base and sales force is essential.
  • Proven track record of successfully championing trajectory-changing shifts in the biopharma industry which have resulted in revenue and customer growth
  • Fearless ability to interact with customers and synthesize their insights to drive marketing strategy
  • Deep knowledge of data management, data visualization techniques and tools, as well as experience managing data based products that deal with complex data, processing and analysis
  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful products, from ideation through implementation
  • Experience of building and leading highly technical product marketing teams
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer locations and evangelize the paradigm shifting Next-Gen Lab Management capabilities of The Scientific Data Cloud
  • Experience of working within a biopharma company in an IT related function is a big plus
