The Opportunity:

Introduction to Clarion Defence Digital (CDD)

Clarion Defence is looking to launch a new membership product for Defence event audiences by May 2025. The target market for membership will be any type of SME that is interested in doing business in defence - we aim to provide members with exclusive access to events, content and people that help to facilitate this mission

We expect people to convert to membership primarily to access a series of small, curated events throughout the year (these will include round tables, focus groups, meet the buyer events etc). However, high-quality editorial content will be pivotal in driving year-round engagement and conversion to membership. This will include up-to-date analysis on global defence, military strategy, policy, technology and ongoing information on procurement, global pipelines and SME funding. While editorial content will be hosted on our members app, we also want to host content out on our event websites to start to drive traffic and awareness all year round.

The data analytics team is a new team with CDD that is core to gaining a better understanding of the data landscape within Defence and enabling revenue growth. The types of analytics work include customer segmentation, predictive modelling, marketing campaign reporting and campaign optimisation. Alongside this, a core understanding of Membership app usage and how we can slice and commercialise audiences within the app environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reporting solutions to key business areas (commercial/marketing/CS/Product).
  • Ensure both accuracy and quality of data are met to a high standard.
  • Automation of reporting solutions where possible.
  • Working with the team to develop predictive models supporting marketing activity.
  • Perform statistical analysis of data.
  • Learn and implement key visualisation techniques for reporting.
  • Work with the team to develop data quality measurement reporting.
  • Provide data and manage segmentation for marketing and business activities.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours:

  • Experience within data analytics environment with a strong emphasis on customer and marketing related analytics.
  • Experience working with multiple business functions (e.g. sales, marketing, content, product teams) to deliver value from data analytics.
  • Experience in using data analytics to improve marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Experience of In-App data, SQL and PowerBI.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise accordingly.
