Short description

In the “Advanced Materials” department, we are looking for student support in setting up and further developing our systems for recording, storing and providing Material Data for the entire Schaeffler Group.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Development of digital Workflows and Interfaces to connect different Source and Target Systems for Material Data, especially with regard to Sustainability Indicators, such as the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)
• Preparation of Material and Process Data for use in Generative AI Systems
• Independent analysis and interpretation of Material Data
• Support with data maintenance in Material Database Systems

Your Qualifications

• Studies in the field of Materials Engineering/Materials Science or a comparable technical degree program (Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Data Science)
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Advanced knowledge of Python, especially in the packages Pandas, matplotlib, Numpy, scikit-learn
• Confident handling of Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is required
• Knowledge of Git, handling SQL and NoSQL databases and Rest APIs desirable
• Ability to work in a team as well as an independent, proactive and structured way of working
