This opportunity plays a vital role in supporting and recommending various analytical projects and initiatives across different departments within the business unit of moderate to complex levels. Insight Analysts contribute to the organization's success by providing insights and recommendations that inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth. The insights team operates as an internal consulting group to supply, manage, and analyze overpayment recovery data for use in assigning actions needed, as well as recommending organizational efficiency improvements across all post-production areas.

 

This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and mentorship to Junior analysts to identify trends for organizational efficiency across the business unit. This individual will expand their professional footprint by collaborating with multiple levels of leadership to provide an analysis of data.

Responsibilities

Mentoring & Onboarding:

  • Assist with onboarding junior analysts.
  • Assist with creating standard operating procedures, onboarding materials, and updating as processes change.
  • Develop templates for system training.

Data Collection and Management:

  • Gather data from various sources including internal databases, external sources, surveys, and market research.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting data validation, cleaning, and preprocessing tasks.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Conduct research and gather information from internal and external sources to support decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement analytical models and tools to optimize business processes and performance. Contribute to continuously improving data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and documentation.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Utilize statistical techniques and analytical tools to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies within the data to provide valuable insights.
  • Interpret analysis results and translate them into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Interpret data to identify business trends, conduct root cause analysis of business problems/bottlenecks, or suggest areas for process improvement.

Insights Generation:

  • Generate actionable insights by synthesizing data analysis findings with industry knowledge and business context.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize business processes, improve performance, and capitalize on opportunities identified through data analysis.

Planning & Presentation:

  • Complete moderate to complex planning initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations for long-term business strategies.
  • Conduct moderate to complex scenario analysis and predictive modeling to assess the potential impact of strategic decisions on business outcomes.
  • Prepare and facilitate the presentation of reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Data Governance and Compliance:

  • Adhere to data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
  • Safeguard sensitive data and ensure appropriate access controls are in place to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or financial analysis is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI is often required to perform data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques is preferred.
  • Certifications in relevant areas such as data analysis or business intelligence are a plus.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Strong numerical skills are essential for conducting quantitative analysis, working with statistical methods and models, and manipulating data using mathematical operations.
  • Data Interpretation: skilled in interpreting data visualizations, charts, graphs, and other forms of data to extract meaningful insights and communicate findings effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are crucial for conveying complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly and understandably through written reports, presentations, and verbal discussions.
  • Curiosity and Learning Agility: A strong desire to learn and explore new methodologies, techniques, and tools in the field of data analysis and insights generation is essential for staying current with industry trends and best practices. · Resilience: The ability to handle pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and overcome setbacks is important in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous analytical environment. · Ethical and Integrity: Upholding ethical standards and maintaining integrity in handling sensitive data and information is paramount for building trust and credibility in the insights provided.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Exposure to moderate noise intensity is expected.
  • No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

Base compensation ranges from $60,000 to $72,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
