Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team in a multi-faceted role as a Senior Data Engineer focused on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. This position has two distinct roles it will serve over the course of our ongoing Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation. These roles include Data Conversion and Management Reporting responsibilties. As this is an enterprise-wide project you will work across multiple IT Teams as well is with an implementation partner to ensure a successful completion of this transformational venture.

 

In the Data Conversion Lead role you will focus on overseeing the successful migration of data from legacy systems to the Oracle ERP platform. This critical role ensures that data integrity, accuracy, and compliance are maintained throughout the transition. In the Management Reporting Lead role you will design, develop, and manage reporting solutions within Oracle ERP systems, ensuring business users have access to accurate, timely, and actionable insights. This role involves helping lead and support the reporting workstream during implementation, working closely with functional and technical teams to deliver robust reporting solutions tailored to our organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, build, test, and implement database systems and related technology.• Deploy, install, integrate, maintain, and administer database systems including software, and service providers. • Work with Database Administrators to ensure that databases are up to date and free of errors.• Work with software developers to ensure that new applications are compatible with existing database infrastructure.• Identify and recommend measures to maintain compliance with database security best practices, including user access control, data encryption, and auditing.• Design and implement archive, recovery, and load strategies.• Perform backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configure database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models.• Lead the planning, life-cycle management, and development for database systems.• Monitor overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune or improve environment appropriately.

• Perform routine risk assessments for database components and service levels.• Regularly explore ways to scale, automate, and make service delivery more efficient.• Create and maintain technical documentation on designs, engineering procedures, and implementation or operational work products.• Work with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.• Ensure integration with other systems and adherence to IT or business strategies.• Conduct technology or product exploration, prototypes, and pilots that deliver innovative IT solutions.• Evaluate and recommend product standards and new purchases.• Drive technical projects by determining scope, managing deliverables, and tracking progress for the creation or deployment of new solutions. • Estimate and manage life-cycle costs and product level roadmaps.• Provide decision making, leadership, and coaching or mentoring to others in a group. • Demonstrate expert level communication, facilitation, and team leadership skills• Serve as liaison with other teams, vendors, consultants, and customer groups.• Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative and independent environment.

 

Management Reporting Lead Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight across all reporting & analytics multiple workstreams
  • Responsible for overall reporting issue escalation and risk management
  • Coordinates with business representation to ensure reports address business needs
  • Work with reporting team to manage work plans, milestones, and staffing requirements
  • Maintains a reporting inventory and ensures the program governance process is following for scope changes (adds/removals)
  • Facilitate and gather analytical and management reporting requirements and collaborate with workstream leads and Business SMEs on report design.
  • Oversee reporting developers and provide quality control on reports.
  • Understanding the business requirements and objectives of the stakeholders and translating them into reporting solutions.
  • Prepare and manage the development plan for management and analytical reporting scope.
  • Coordinates with workstreams to define test scenarios and test scripts for analytical reports
  • Lead the design and development of reports and dashboards using Analytics reporting tools BI/ PowerBi etc., ensuring the quality, accuracy, and performance of the reports and dashboards.
  • Provide input to testing cycles and manage the defect triaging and fixes.
  • Provide input to the weekly status meeting, prepares weekly status report on management and analytical reporting tasks progress, issues and risks. Escalate issues that may impact the go-live date or project milestones to the Project Leadership Team
  • Provides input to the cutover plan to ensure migration of all management and analytical reports
  • Coordinates with the Security team to ensure access is enabled for all business consumers of reports
  • Master Data:
    • Participates in design, technical specifications, development, testing, and defect support for data extraction to support data conversion activities
    • Provides technical support during build activitiesDeploy, install, and configure Oracle and MongoDB database services.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related degree; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.
  • Experience with enterprise application configuration and implementation.
  • Experience with integrations between applications and databases.
  • Experience with software development or scripting languages preferred. Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environment conditions• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc. • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA

• Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences• International and domestic travel as required

 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud, Oracle E-Business Suite) and data conversion processes as well as reporting tools such as BI Publisher, OTBI, FRS, Smart View, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
  • Proficiency in data migration tools and technologies, such as SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), or similar ETL tools
  • Strong understanding of ERP modules and business processes
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and regulatory standards
  • Understanding of ERP implementation methodologies and lifecycle phases
  • Familiarity with system integration, data migration, and infrastructure requirements
