Overview

We develop cutting-edge mobile telecommunication applications that protect users on the largest mobile networks worldwide. As an intern, you'll implement applications to aid our fraud/scam detection systems, working within a cross-discipline development team to support product integration and validation.

Responsibilities

Internship Overview:

  • Duration: Approximately 3 months
  • Skills Required: Background in data analytics, machine learning, software development, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

What You'll Learn:

  • Design and Implementation: Develop software modules to enable feature engineering and ML training pipelines.
  • Agile Environment: Participate in an agile team with representatives from design, product, QA, and project management.
  • Communication: Proactively engage with team members and produce technical documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Create components that meet company standards, implement unit tests, and conduct code reviews.
  • Mentorship: Work under the guidance of a principal data scientist who will act as your mentor.

Preferred Qualifications that Will Put You Ahead:

  • Education: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with at least two years of study completed.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic to intermediate development courses in Data Science/ML/AI or a related language.
    • Knowledge of ML frameworks (tensorflow, pytorch).
    • Familiarity with programming Python.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Understanding of scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
  • For this role, we anticipate paying $18 - $22 per hour. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
