Job Title: Associate, Securities Lending Analytics
Location: 50 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001        

Job Duties: Develop quantitative insights using Aladdin, Securities Lending, and alternative datasets to improve decision-making and manage investment risk across the Securities Lending business. Deliver the full capabilities of BlackRock’s proprietary analytics to the client and investment professionals within the Securities Lending business and partner organizations. Leverage modeling and reporting capabilities to help clients, traders, product strategists, and senior management understand the risk, returns, and exposures of the firm’s investment activities. Build dashboards, visual analytics and web-based tools to improve performance measurement and management, business intelligence, and operational efficiency. Maintain the quality and content of the analytical reporting on client portfolios’ exposures, risk, and performance. Lead the build out of prototypes and research new analytic solutions to solve sophisticated business problems and directly improve the team’s investment strategy and performance. Conduct complex data analyses through data gathering, processing, modelling, analysis and data science. Manage and expand the business derived data platform that delivers reliable data to the Securities Lending business through the articulation of data strategy and the buildout of technical requirements for the business’ data engineering needs leveraging data engineering and database expertise. Four (4) days in office and one (1) day remote per week.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field. 24 months of experience in Technology AVP, Technology Associate, or related role. Requires 24 months of experience in each of the following skills:

1. Trading infrastructure for Securities Finance; 
2. Advanced programming and data manipulation with SQL, Python and utilizing libraries such as Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Numpy, and TensorFlow, as well as capabilities like PySpark for large-scale data analysis and processing; 
3. Data retrieval and management (SQL, RESTful APIs); 
4. Managing code version control and streamline continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Git and BitBucket; 
5. Utilizing Informatica for data integration, ETL processes, and workflow automation across diverse data sources; 
6. Utilizing cloud storage and data warehousing like AWS S3, Azure Blob, Snowflake, AWS Redshift or BigQuery within Google Cloud’s Platform; 
7. Developing visual analytics and business intelligence capabilities using Power BI, Tableau or Quick Sight; 
8. Utilizing Unix for application installation, shell scripting, process automation, and cloud computing platforms like AWS EC2, Azure Virtual Machines, or AWS EMR for data processing; 
9. Managing connected data and complex queries leveraging graph databases like Amazon Neptune, AllegroGraph or Azure Cosmos; and, 
10. Building web-based data applications utilizing Streamlit and event-driven code using serverless technologies like Azure Functions, AWS Lambda or AWS EventBridge.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$146,800.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
