About the Role

Do you have a passion for data analytics? Are you looking for an opportunity to drive change through developing and delivering new strategies that improve not only customer experience but also company bottom line? If so, consider joining the Collections Strategy & Analytics team at LendingClub!

We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter, a quick learner, and a collaborator. As a Collections Strategy Manager, you will be conducting analysis to understand Consumer Loan Portfolio trends, customer behavior, and identify opportunities to improve Collections Strategy.
You will develop and maintain reporting to monitor portfolio performance and effectiveness of current strategies, while performing ad-hoc analyses to identify new insights and opportunities. You will be responsible for tracking A/B Tests, conduct analytical projects, tracking key Loan performance metrics and to provide Sr. Management with accurate and timely dashboards. You will work closely with other teams, including the Credit Risk, Product, Operations and Marketing. You will also participate in new projects and initiatives, with the goal of minimizing credit losses, improve recoveries and increase returns for our investors. In this role, you should have critical thinking, highly analytical, and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do

  • Work with portfolio performance and monitoring all aspects of Collections, including delinquency roll rates, payments, collections effectiveness and lead deep-dive analysis to discover the drivers behind recent trends
  • Work with our offshore analytics team and provide guidance and feedback on their work.
  • Use analytics to optimize the digital contact strategy using targeted email and SMS messaging
  • Develop and update dashboards to track portfolio performance and effectiveness of servicing and collections strategy, by using a combination of technical reporting tools (such as Hadoop, SQL, SAS, R or Python), Excel, and Tableau
  • Analytically develop new repayment plan strategies and monitor the effectiveness of existing programs
  • Develop and implement new initiatives like new repayment plans and optimized collection strategies; Work closely with operations, product, and technology teams to ensure new initiatives are implemented accurately
  • Design and track A/B tests to help understand the effectiveness of new initiatives or test out new hypotheses
  • Evaluate new data or re-engineer the use of existing data to be used in servicing and collections strategy

About You

  • 3+ years of Retail/Consumer credit portfolio risk management and/or collection strategy experience 
  • You have prior experience with risk assessment, process optimization and efficiency improvement
  • You can analyze complex data sets using SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and interpret performance metrics to support decision making
  • Have worked with Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or related tools.
  • Clearly communicate analytical findings, technical concepts, and business implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or other related fields; or equivalent work experience
  • Bonus: Experience in consulting, strategy, marketing, risk management, or related fields

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Primarily PT

Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 135,000-150,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level and location.
