Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Analyzing complex supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Developing and utilizing analytical models to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and improve logistics.
    • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation:
    • Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve responsiveness.
    • Conducting cost-benefit analyses for supply chain decisions.
    • Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks to minimize disruptions.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
    • Evaluating and recommending supply chain technologies to optimize workflows.
    • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and sales, to ensure alignment on supply chain goals.
    • Working closely with vendors and suppliers to monitor performance and optimize relationships.
    • Communicating supply chain insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Overseeing inventory planning to align with business objectives.
    • Proactively reduce slow-moving or non-moving inventory.
  • Vendor and Warehouse Management:
    • Conducting performance reviews of critical suppliers and logistics partners.
    • Leading warehouse management to ensure warehousing and distribution meet service level agreements.
  • Automation and Visualization:
    • Process Automation:
      • Identifying repetitive tasks within the supply chain and implementing automated solutions using tools like Alteryx, KNIME, Python, etc., or ERP system functionalities.
      • Automating data collection, cleansing, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Dashboard Development:
      • Creating interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio to visualize key supply chain metrics and KPIs.
      • Developing customized dashboards for different stakeholders (management, procurement, logistics) to provide relevant insights.
    • Data Storytelling:
      • Translating complex supply chain data into clear and compelling visualizations that communicate insights and drive decision-making.
      • Creating visual reports and presentations to present supply chain performance and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

  • BS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other related field
  • 5 years business experience, including at least 2 year with supply chain and logistics functions such as demand planning, production planning, and distribution planning in an automotive or consumer products business with emphasis on forecasting and statistics
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, including statistical analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and patterns.
  • Proficiency in SAP/APO and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, KNIME, Python).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve supply chain challenges.
  • Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of inventory control principals, and demand planning.
  • Experience in vendor relations, and performance evaluations.
  • Enthusiasm: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; enjoy both working in teams and independently.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $98,000 - $105,000 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
