Summary Statement

The Data Analyst – Sales Planning, Reporting, & Projects Position will work closely with the sales and finance leadership team. Working to provide transparency on performance and help improve sales force effectiveness and efficiency for Ottobock Healthcare.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

Actively identify and implement improvement opportunities for the current sales reporting, planning and forecasting processes in close alignment with senior leadership,

e.g. analyze and structure SAP and non-SAP customer related data in order to utilize company’s business intelligence and visualization tools to provide timely and accurate performance feedback for enhanced sales force effectiveness

e.g. analyze price and volume related data in order to implement customer and product based planning and forecasting process

Conduct ad-hoc analysis, e.g. top customer/ strategic customer deep dives in light of management or key account visits

Design, perform and automate regular tasks for monthly sales performance reporting, including variance analysis on commission and other incentive related topics

Participate and/ or lead workstreams of local and/or global cross-functional transformation projects, in particular with finance, sales, marketing and IT

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize, take ownership and work independently fueled by intrinsic motivation and an outcome-oriented mindset
  • Analytical and structured approach coupled with hands on mentality to problem-solving aiming for excellence and continuous improvement
  • High reliability and data accuracy in combination with clear communication for effectiveness in team and organization across functions
  • Eager to learn and grow with positive energy in changing environment

Minimum Qualifications – (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or in a related quantitative field (or related fields); Master’s degree is a plus
  • 3-5 years working experience with exposure into project management, management consulting, data analytics or finance/ management accounting related tasks
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Relevant programming work experience with VBA, Python, SQL or other programming language required
  • SAP Analysis for Office and SAC, Power BI and Salesforce Analytics experience is a plus
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of SAP R/3 SD is a plus
