The Sr Data Solutions & Reporting Analyst will autonomously contribute to various and diverse Retail Sales & Service projects and initiatives. This role will bring strong and clear knowledge of both the breadth and depth of various products and sources (ie. Life, Wealth, P&C, Group, Edge, Federated, PLCM, Compensation) within the organization and how to integrate to deliver data and analytics reporting solutions.  The Sr Data Solutions & Reporting Analyst is creative and resourceful in integrating and developing these solutions to meet the very high-paced, high-demand and the ever-evolving needs of RSS business partners and uses their strong business acumen to impart knowledge and translate technical needs into business value.

How you will create impact:

  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of various data integration tools and general-purpose languages (SQL, T-SQL, MySQL, R, SAS, Python) and data platforms (Azure, Databricks)
  • Build controls to assess the data quality for reporting and analytics
  • Have a strong knowledge of the various data sources (ie. CFIS, CLIC, Edge, Federated, PLCM, P&C, Compensation) across the organization for the intent of integration and developing robust data solutions
  • Good knowledge of operational tools (SalesForce, PolicyCentre, ClaimCentre, BillingCentre) and their business integration points
  • Design, build and maintain data solutions to support unmet reporting and analytics needs for RSS not available in the data environment (Azure)
  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting assets through enterprise tools (ie. MSTR, PowerBI, Excel) to enable easy and effective analysis and storytelling for various business partners across the organization
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on key projects
  • Participate and translates RSS business needs to partners (BI) for the development and delivery of valuable data solutions
  • Provide technical as well as business coaching, training and support to DI&A team members on the needs and priorities of the team. Proactively shares knowledge with less experienced colleagues.
  • Establish partnerships within RSS and with business partners (i.e. Business Intelligence, Product, Finance, Actuarial) to optimize business performance.

To join our team:

  • Diploma or degree in Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Designations relating to data modeling (ie Azure), coding (ie. SQL) and report development (ie. MSTR) are an asset
  •  Strong knowledge and understanding of Data analysis, programming/tools, modelling techniques, data warehouse/data management, research
  •  Requires practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas
  •  Knowledge of best practices and how own area is integrated with others
  •  Understanding of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market
  • Strong knowledge of all products (P&C, Life, Wealth)
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected Salary Range: $71,070 -- $118.450

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
